Author Erika Lee will discuss her new book “Angel Island: Immigrant Gateway to America” at 7 p.m. in Peacock Hall at Gateway. Copies of the book will be available for sale at the event with a portion of the proceeds going to Angel Island. This free event is open to all residents and their guests.

The 2010 comedy “Our Family Wedding” will be shown in Peacock Hall at Gateway on Thursday at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. and on Friday at 10 a.m., 1, 4 and 7 p.m. The showings at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. will feature language captions. This film is 103 minutes long and is rated PG-13. This free program is open to all residents and their guests.

Saturday, Sept. 11
The 1962 drama “Birdman of Alcatraz” starring Burt Lancaster will be shown in Peacock Hall at Gateway on Saturday at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. The showing at 1 p.m. will feature language captions. This film is 149 minutes long and is not rated. This free program is open to all residents and their guests.

The 2004 comedy “Laws of Attraction” starring Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore will be shown in Peacock Hall at Gateway at 4 and 7 p.m. The showing at 4 p.m. will feature language captions. This film is 87 minutes long and is rated PG-13. This free program is open to all residents and their guests.

CALEDON IN CONCERT
Tuesday, Sept. 21
The internationally popular Scottish tenors known as Caledon will perform their California debut concert at 7 p.m. in the Sierra Room at Del Valle. Advance tickets are available for $15 at the Excursion Desk at Gateway or for $20 at the door. Wine, juice and light snacks are included. This event is open to all residents and their guests.

Metropolitan Opera star Hao Jiang Tian will perform his one-man show in the Sierra Room at Del Valle at 2 p.m. Advance tickets are available at the Excursion Desk for $10 or may be purchased at the door for $15. This event is open to all residents and their guests.
