Tuesday, Oct. 19 (1:25 p.m.) The Rossmoor Diversity Festival on Wednesday, Oct. 20, has been relocated indoors because of rain in the forecast.
The scheduled entertainment will be held in Peacock Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents can visit club tables in the Fireside Room during the same hours.
Festival-goers may enjoy soul food along with Asian, Indian and Pakistani food that will be available from food trucks in the Gateway parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Indoor seating for dining will be available in the Oak Room (per county health rules, diners will need to present a vaccination card or a negative COVID-19 test result within the previous 72 hours to dine inside).
Members of various Rossmoor clubs that focus on cultural and ethnic heritage will provide entertainment and will man information tables to answer questions, distribute handouts or make a presentation. Attendees are welcome to dress in attire/costumes from their ethnic or cultural background.
The Diversity Festival is free and sponsored by the Recreation Department, Rossmoor Advocates for Diversity and the Diversity Consciousness Committee of the Interfaith Council.
