Family Swim returns to Hillside on Saturday

The Aquatics Advisory Committee voted 5-1 Thursday to bring back Family Swim time at the Hillside Pool starting Saturday, July 17.

Family Swim has been suspended since the COVID-19 shutdown in March 2020. As the state and county lifted COVID-19 restrictions on June 15, many of Golden Rain Foundation programs and services resumed with a slow measured approach.  Family Swim time was delayed while new guidelines were better understood, and operations could ramp back up.  GRF staff and the Aquatics committee appreciate the community’s understanding and patience as they worked through the many challenges of resuming full programming, Resident Services Director Jeff Matheson said.

Family Swim resumes Saturday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hillside Pool. Residents are asked to continue to respect the health and safety of the community by staying home if sick or if exposed to someone with COVID-19.  Those who have not been fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while indoors.

Family Swim is available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., except on Tuesdays because of pool cleaning. It’s also available on weekends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is available only at Hillside Pool.
