GRF employee tests positive for COVID-19 but had limited contact in Rossmoor

A GRF employee tested positive for COVID-19, the GRF announced Thursday, July 2, upon learning of the test result.

The employee, who had no symptoms, took the test June 29 due to exposure outside of the Rossmoor community. The GRF confirmed that the employee had no close contact with any co-workers or residents.

The employee, who remains healthy, immediately isolated and will remain in isolation until 10 days after the test, so long as the employee remains symptom-free. If symptoms develop, isolation will continue for 14 days after the fever subsides without the assistance of medication.

Fellow GRF employees were notified of the positive test.

GRF management consulted with the County Health Department and has followed recommended guidelines to help prevent the chance of spread among staff. Those guidelines include ongoing cleaning and disinfecting of all work areas multiple times a day, wearing masks and maintaining 6-feet of social distancing.
