Power restored in Rossmoor

(Update Monday July 3, 8 p.m.) Power was restored in all of Rossmoor around 6 p.m. Monday night. PG&E did not report the cause of the outage.

(Monday, July 3) A large number of entries in Rossmoor were experiencing a power outage Monday night at the tail end of a heat wave that blanketed the Bay Area over the weekend.

The power outage started around 4:45 p.m. with no estimated time for restoration. PG&E said an assessment crew was en route.

Among the areas affected were the Fitness Center, Gateway, Creekside and Event Center. Homes impacted included some on Rossmoor Parkway, Cactus Court, Terra California, Saklan Indian, Tice Creek, Ptarmigan, Terra Granada, Avenida Sevilla, Horsemans Canyon and those on and around Grey Eagle Drive.

Temperatures had dipped to 81 degrees by the time the power outage hit, following days of triple-digit temperatures.
