Rossmoor bus service expands starting June 1

Starting Monday, June 1, the Transportation Department will add more buses to the Dial-A-Bus service.

In accordance with Contra Costa County social distancing requirements and adhering to the opening of businesses and other community activities throughout the city of Walnut Creek, the buses will increase seating capacity to up to four riders on each bus. This will allow for continued social distancing.

The department and services will run Sunday through Saturday. Dial -A- Bus is a same day service and requires a minimum of one-hour advance notice prior to a pickup request time.

A special downtown services will be offered to specific downtown areas previously supported by the Green Line bus, with modifications to the schedule along with pick-up and drop-off requirements, meaning the bus will pick up at a resident entry instead of the standard Gateway Clubhouse pick-up location.

To request a ride, call 925-988-7676 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bus service is available from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
