About 3,100 PG&E customers in and around Rossmoor lost power
Staff report
(Friday, Oct. 7): Tree roots making contact with underground electrical equipment is being blamed for a power outage that left a portion of Rossmoor in the dark Thursday afternoon and evening.
PG&E spokesperson Tamar Sarkissian said that about 3,100 customers in and adjacent to Rossmoor lost power shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday. Most of those customers had their electricity restored just before 6 p.m., but the final repairs for all customers were not completed until 2:47 a.m. Friday, Sarkissian said.
