Virtual town halls to highlight operations

Monday, March 25 (1:00 p.m.): A series of monthly town halls will provide residents with an opportunity to meet with staff and ask questions about various aspects of GRF and MOD community operations.

The town halls are an effort to enhance communication and transparency. They will be held on the last Monday of each month for one hour on Zoom.

The first town hall will be Monday, March 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. and will feature General Manager Jeff Matheson and Director of Community Services Ann Mottola discussing topics related to facility rentals, the Tice Creek Fitness Center, the pools, transportation, capital projects and planning questions.

Residents are encouraged to submit their questions prior to the meetings by emailing grb@rossmoor.com with the subject line “Town Hall Question.” Questions about the town hall or how to join Zoom can be directed to Deborah Rose at drose@rossmoor.com or at 1-925-988-7710.

“These monthly Zoom town hall meetings will provide residents with a platform to engage with staff, voice their concerns and stay informed about community matters,” Matheson said. “GRF staff looks forward to a productive and interactive series of meetings with the community.”

The following are the future town hall meetings scheduled on the last Monday of the month from 1 to 2 p.m.:

 April 29: Matheson and Director of Mutual Operations Jeroen Wright will address questions regarding MOD, work orders, resales, landscaping, and Handyman services.

 May 20: Matheson and Public Safety Manager Tom Cashion will discuss public safety, emergency preparedness, fire exits and front gate access.

 June 24: Matheson and Director of Communications Ann Peterson will focus on the Rossmoor websites (MyRossomoor.com and Rossmoor.com), Rossmoor News, and Rossmoor TV.
