STUDIO & CLUB:

The studio has set hours for quilters, needle workers, garment sewers, knitters and crocheters, stitchers and fiber artists, as well as open studio sewing hours.

The Rossmoor Sewing Arts Club holds workshops and skills-builder demonstrations and is involved in group activities and community outreach.

Lapidary Studio

Design beautiful and unique jewelry and works of art with stones, gems and other materials

STUDIO:

Specializes in rocks, stones, gems, various metals, fused and stained glass and beading

Open four days a week.

Equipment and tools for club members after complete training and show proficiency

Hand-crafted items made by members for sale in studio

CLUB:

Experienced artists and hobbyists are welcome.

Club members also can participate in meetings, several annual social events and regular classes.

Shop Projects:

Open to all residents with a supervisor always on duty to provide assistance.

Residents can submit work orders to have repairs or workworking-related projects completed by shop supervisors.

Knife sharpening regularly provided for a nominal fee.

Practice and learn your art in two spaces designed for art enthusiasts

Rossmoor art association:

Welcomes lifelong artists and new hobbyists

Offers films, exhibits, soirees, artist demonstrations, open studio time in two studios, and classes

Studios:

Studio 1: Large room for art demonstrations and printing press for printmaking class.

Studio 2: For smaller classes and when they have live models for figure drawing or painting.

Studios have adjustable tables, chairs and stools, easels and table easels, light tables, and mat cutter and paper cutters.

Clay is available for Ceramic Arts Club members to purchase.

Demonstrations, classes and workshops are held year-round for club members.

Special club events include a holiday party, holiday boutique sale and monthly Show & Tells.

Joining the club:

To join, you must be a Rossmoor resident and take a four-session Orientation Class, which is offered only twice a year. The club is popular so sometimes class participants are determined by a registration lottery.

Run by the Rossmoor Garden Club, the community garden is located just outside the Rossmoor gate with garden lots maintained by club members and residents. Full lots range from 300 to 350 square feet and contain flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables grown by residents. The clubs maintains a waiting list for when lots become available.

The club also offers workshops, expert speakers, garden tours, a spring picnic, deck parties under a giant heritage oak tree in the garden and an annual Tomato Festival fundraiser.

Home to Rossmoor's 16 performing arts programs, this specially designed studio at Hillside Clubhouse  has acoustic panels, LED theatrical lighting, a ceiling projector and built-in screen, state-of-the-art sound system and risers for performers and audience seating.



The studio puts on more than 100 performances a year and showcases singers, an instrumental ensemble, Ukulele Club, Chinese Performing Arts Club, Drama Association and many more.
