Pools

Rossmoor offers three unique community swimming facilities with showers and dressing rooms at Hillside and Dollar clubhouses and the Tice Creek Fitness Center. The Tice Creek Fitness Center pool is covered and is open year-round. Lap swimming, exercise and aerobic classes are available at all the pools.

The Hillside Pool and Dollar Pool are usually open March 1 through November 30 and are closed for the winter from December 1 to the last day of February. The Tice Creek pools are open year-round.

The Hillside Pool

The Hillside pool, located at the Hillside Clubhouse, is a full-sized, all-purpose pool perfect for lap swimming, exercisers and floaters. Children are allowed to swim at Hillside at designated times. The pool is maintained at 83 degrees.

On the weekends there are no lane lines for lap swimming during the Family Swim hours.

The Dollar Pool

The Dollar pool, located at the Dollar Clubhouse, is the “social” pool and is kept at a much warmer temperature (88 degrees) than the other pools for comfortable swimming.

Outdoor Pools (Hillside and Dollar) will be closed January 1st – February 28th & December 1st – 31st, 2025.

The Tice Creek Pool

Tice Creek is a covered-pool complex complete with a retractable roof and side panels and is open year-round. Tice Creek offers a lap pool maintained at 83 degrees, a warm-water exercise pool which is 88 degrees, and a large spa which is 102 degrees. All three pools have chair lifts to assist those who are unable to use the steps into and out of the pool.

Holiday Closures

Tice Creek Pool closes at 3:45pm on Thanksgiving Eve, Dec. 24th, Jan.31st and July 4th.

The pool is closed all day on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Locker rooms

The men’s and women’s locker rooms have private changing rooms and handicapped showers with benches. There are centrifugal dryers to wring the water out of swimsuits. There is a separate individual locker room for special needs residents, including those who need the assistance of a caretaker to change.

Please shower in the locker room or the shower in the pool area before entering the pools.
