Founded in 1967 by John H. Russell Sr., former sales manager for Rossmoor’s developer, Ross Cortese, the company has remained deeply committed to serving the community. John Sr. led Rossmoor Realty until his retirement in 1982, when his son, John H. Russell Jr., took the helm, and under his leadership, the business expanded significantly. After his passing in 2018, the company is now owned and led by Barbara Russell and managed by Larry Spiteri, the Broker of Record. Larry has over 30 years of experience in real estate sales and management and is a respected leader in the industry.

We live in upstate NY and in October ‘24, found our Rossmoor Realty realtor, Robert Parrish by chance: he responded to our general query on the Rossmoor Realty website. His charming, professional manner was coupled with tremendous knowledge about Rossmoor; he marries a can-do attitude with candid responses to questions. We were not at all sure about moving here when we first spoke with him and used words like “anathema” to describe leaving Ithaca at all in our early conversations! And yet, here we are, less than six months later, the very happy owners of an end–unit Tahoe with level entry! And let’s be clear: our realtor, Robert, was never in the least bit “pushy.” Not ever! He was incredibly responsive; no question was too small or silly and his responses were prompt. He worked around our geography and our schedule. He was genuine and enthusiastic. Robert guided us through all the necessary steps, including the financial paperwork and the Mutual Orientation session. From the very first Zoom introduction to today, we find Robert to be the most outstanding realtor we have ever worked with. (We have not yet picked up our keys, and Robert is still helping us with referrals for ‘this and that’ in the condo). So, yes, excellent ratings in all categories.
