(Saturday, June 1) A Rossmoor resident who went missing Friday has been located, Walnut Creek Police announced on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. WCPD posted the update on their account at 12:15 a.m. Saturday.

On Friday, WCPD issued a silver alert for resident Phillip Jenkins, 94, after his red Ford Mustang was seen leaving Rossmoor around 9 a.m. The vehicle was last seen on a traffic camera on San Ramon Valley Road in San Ramon around 11:30 a.m. Friday.

California Highway Patrol issued a silver alert in the afternoon. According to the CHP, silver alerts are activated when “an elderly, developmentally or cognitively-impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk.”
