Kimberlye Gold Band to present free concert Jan. 15 in Fireside

 

Tuesday, January 14 (11:00 a.m.): The Kimberlye Gold Band will perform a free concert in the Fireside Room at Gateway on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. The show will be a mix of standards and songs from the ‘60s through the ‘80s along with some originals.

The band will include Nancy Wenstrom, lead guitar/vocals; Jimmy Goings, drums/ vocals; Marc Levine, bass; Steffen Kuehn, trumpet; and on tenor sax/flute, Tom E. Politzer from the legendary Tower of Power band.

Gold is a San Francisco native who has lived and worked in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville, honing her craft, writing songs, and performing across the country and abroad. She began playing guitar at age 8, singing and performing at age 4.

She has performed at venues such as Biscuits ’N Blues in San Francisco, Genghis Cohen in Los Angeles, The Bitter End in New York City, The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and 12 Bar in London.
