Friday, April 11 (2:30 p.m.): The Recreation Department will host Drive-thru Shred Day on Monday, April 28, at the Event Center/Dollar parking lot, 1021 Stanley Dollar Drive. This event offers a convenient and secure way to dispose of confidential documents. Registration opens on Wednesday, April 9, on www.MyRossmoor.com or by calling 1-925-988-7700 to register.

Pre-registration is required for this event, with a fee of $5 per box. Payment is not required at time of registration. To ensure smooth operations, the event will be divided into six time slots, each accommodating up to 30 cars. Those who do not have a reservation will not be admitted. The available time slots are as follows:

• 9 to 9:20 a.m.
• 9:30 to 9:50 a.m.
• 10 to 10:20 a.m.
• 10:30 to 10:50 a.m.
• 11 to 11:20 a.m.
• 11:30 to 11:50 a.m.

Drop-off and payment procedures include:

• Place boxes/bags of items to shred in vehicle’s trunk. No plastic bags.
• Remain in car, and staff will open the trunk.
• Place payment ($5 per bag/box) in an envelope next to boxes/bags to be shred.
• Cash or check made payable to GRF only. Staff will be unable to provide change.
• Do not remove staples, paper clips, fasteners, hanging file folders, spiral notebooks, binder clips or rubber bands.

For those unable to attend the Drive-thru Shred Day, shredding services are available at the UPS Store located at 1966 Tice Valley Blvd. in the Rossmoor Shopping Center next to Safeway. UPS offers shredding at a rate of $1 per pound (price subject to change, call UPS to confirm). For more information, contact UPS at 1-925-935-1870.

Residents are advised to be cautious driving to and through the Shred Day event and mindful of their time slots, as traffic is expected to impact Stanley Dollar Drive during the event.
