Upcoming EV Charging Network Change at Rossmoor
Effective Date: February 17, 2025
What’s Happening?
PG&E will be transitioning the EV Box chargers at Rossmoor from Shell Recharge to Wevo Energy.
The following chargers will be affected:
- 1001 Golden Rain: 10 chargers
- 1751 Tice Creek: 10 chargers
- 1015 Stanley Dollar: 10 chargers
New Stickers & Instructions
Here’s how you can start charging once the new Wevo stickers are in place:
- Scan the QR code on the charger sticker using your phone’s camera.
- You’ll be prompted to verify your phone number and enter your credit card information for payment.
- Begin charging! Your session will start once your info is confirmed.
Rates & Fees
The charging rates will remain unchanged.
The transaction fee will decrease from 9% (Shell Recharge) to 6% with Wevo Energy.
Regular Charger Users
If you frequently charge your vehicle at Rossmoor, we recommend you register for a
Wevo user account and request a free Wevo RFID card.
Why register?
- Your RFID card still works to start charging even if a charger is offline.
- Your account and card are linked, making sessions quick and easy.

(Please make sure you complete the Payment section of the Wevo mobile app.) - Request free Wevo RFID card: Once registered, email CETO&M@PGE.COM to request a free Wevo RFID card. Please include your physical address information, and PG&E will mail you a Wevo RFID card.
